Receive the Forgiveness Jesus Gives Through His Death
Welcome to Day 310 of our journey with Jesus. Today, we think about how we will respond to Jesus. The main truth for today is this: Jesus calls us to receive his death as God's gift of forgiveness and a renewed relationship with him. Let’s begin.

Do not treat the Last Supper as familiar religious scenery. Jesus deliberately places His body, His blood, covenant, and forgiveness before His disciples on the night betrayal begins.
Receive His Interpretation.
Let Jesus tell you what His death means. Do not reduce the cross to inspiration, tragedy, or political execution when He explicitly connects it with the forgiveness of sins.
Bring Sin Into the Light.
Forgiveness matters only if sin is real. Jesus’ words invite honesty about guilt rather than self-justification or the assumption that reconciliation with God requires no remedy.
Look to What He Gives.
The meal directs attention away from human achievement toward Jesus’ self-giving. The center is not what the disciples accomplish for Him but what He is about to give for them.
Live From the Covenant Gift.
Receive the cross as Jesus presents it: His life given, His blood poured out, forgiveness offered, and the kingdom still ahead. Let gratitude, repentance, faith, and allegiance grow from that gift.
Tomorrow, the Passion narrative moves into Gethsemane, where Jesus faces the cup in anguish and freely submits to the Father.
Consider this.
